Cleaning up

I deleted photos but my storage didn't change

That's expected. iPhone moves deleted photos to Recently Deleted and keeps them for 30 days, so the space isn't freed until that album is emptied. To free it now:

iPhone sometimes takes a minute to update its storage numbers. If RollKeep says it's not seeing the change yet, wait a moment and tap Check again.

I want back a photo I deleted

Open Photos › Albums › Recently Deleted, select the photo and tap Recover. This works for 30 days after deleting, unless the album was emptied.

RollKeep grouped photos I think are different

Nothing is deleted without your approval, so you can untick anything in a group. To make grouping stricter, go to Settings › Similarity sensitivity in RollKeep and choose Conservative. To keep certain photos out of every list, add their album under Never touch. Favorites are protected by default.

RollKeep says it can only see some of my photos

You chose Limited Access when iPhone asked about photos. Swipe mode still works on the photos you shared, but finding similar shots needs the whole library. To switch, open Settings › Apps › RollKeep › Photos and choose Full Access.

My photos are in iCloud

With Optimize iPhone Storage on, your iPhone keeps smaller copies and the originals live in iCloud. Deleting then frees mostly iCloud space, and RollKeep shows both numbers. Blur detection needs sharper copies than the phone keeps, so tap Scan on Wi-Fi on the home screen to let RollKeep download previews while on Wi-Fi.

The scan is taking a long time

Large libraries take a while the first time; later scans are much faster because progress is saved. On iOS 26 the scan keeps going in the background and sends one notification when it's done. On earlier versions it pauses shortly after you leave the app and picks up when you come back.

A video couldn't be compressed

Videos stored in iCloud have to download first, so check your connection and try again. Some videos are already about as small as they can get; RollKeep leaves those untouched and tells you. The original is never removed unless a smaller copy was saved.

My widget isn't updating

Widgets update from the app, so open RollKeep once after a cleanup. The On This Day widget picks its photos when you open the app and covers the week ahead.

Purchases and subscriptions

Restore a purchase on a new iPhone

Open any RollKeep Plus feature, then tap Restore purchase at the top of the plans screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy.

Cancel a subscription or free trial

Open Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone, choose RollKeep and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or renewal date to avoid a charge. Plus stays unlocked until the end of the period you paid for. The Clean Pass and Lifetime never renew, so there's nothing to cancel.

How the Clean Pass works

The Clean Pass is a single $4.99 payment that unlocks every Plus feature for 72 hours, starting right away. It never renews. Buying another while one is active adds 72 hours to the end time.

Request a refund

Apple handles all App Store payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds directly, but we're happy to help if something went wrong. Email us.

My payment didn't go through

If Apple can't renew your plan, RollKeep shows a notice. Update your payment method in Settings › your name › Payment & Shipping, or at apps.apple.com/account/billing. Plus switches back on by itself once the payment succeeds.

Privacy

RollKeep analyzes your photos on your iPhone and never uploads them. There's no account and no analytics. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Read the full privacy policy.
